Haven’t been here in a while, and there’s good reason for that – we’ve been busy. Busy designing and making the LR4.
We’ve done it. We’ve got another prototype (the LR3) and I’m trying to soak in the moment and realise that it’s actually just happened.
So the past few weeks have been incredibly exciting for Lucy Rose! I finally feel as though I am breaking through the walls I have been banging on for so long.
Now, I’ve been teasing you all about giving you some news in the New Year and here it is. Very soon I will have a third prototype of the Lucy Rose shoe. We’re calling it the ‘LR3’ for obvious reasons and I am beyond excited!
It’s my last post before Christmas and naturally, it’s a time of reflection. This past year has been what I’ve been wanting to do for years. Finally start working on my business - properly.
I’m sure most of us have heard those words spoken back to us when we reveal a plan or goal whether is losing weight or launching a product. It instantly puts the fire out doesn’t it? I want to answer back in my best non-teenage voice “I don’t know HOW yet, but I will”.
I’m going to be honest with you, not a lot has happened in the past week. I went to London for a meeting on Thursday and visited the flagship stores of Chanel and Dior to dream and imagine my own brand one day having a store like theirs. The attention to detail is unparalleled and the grandeur is something that only decades of knowledge and vision can conjure.
“The quality of being graceful and stylish in appearance or manner”.
This is an insight into the wonderful world of an entrepreneur. A few weeks ago it seemed like everything just got on top of me. I’m sure the entrepreneurs among the readers know what I mean. Day to day I am building a business from nothing, just me and my ideas. I also work another job which takes up time and energy.
Last Friday I came home from my paid job and hopped on a Skype call with my CAD designer for Lucy Rose. He has been working on the newest version of the design for a few weeks and I had the chance to take a look at what he had done. As he brought up the 3D design, I couldn’t help but beam. I honestly can’t tell you what it feels like to have an idea in your head for so long and see it come to life.
